Disgusting Accelerit

Good day

I would like to express my utter disgust with accelerit (and yes they are not even worthy to have their name spelt with a Capital Letter).

They are not a member of ISPA, where else would we be able to escalate our complaint as we feel this Company should be taken to task before other Consumers are frauded by them.

We have had endless problems with this disgusting company for waaaaaay to long. Problems consist of the following: No internet for days without any explanation, no service assistance, no answering on tickets lodged, no answering of calls when you phone in, not ever being able to escalate a problem to the manager, not cancelling upon our request and worst of all just an increase of 20% on our account WITHOUT any warning.

Accelerit is completely incompetent and should NOT be in business AT ALL. In a world of technology and where everything should be done electronically or by a click of a button, they sure know how to make the consumer's life a nightmare.

Hate is a very strong word, but not even strong enough when it comes to this incompetent and useless company.

Can someone please advise where we can escalate this issue (like an Ombudsman or something similar)?

Definitely, but we have to get accelerit to cancel first. However I still feel they should be brought to task and other people should be made aware of how bad their service is.

I can confirm a R140 bump on the Frogfoot 50/50mbps package with No Warning! This after an email on the 20th stating i.a. "more speed at no cost" in August.

Advising everyone to just move to their cheapest package at this point in time or to move over to a cheaper provider:

R690pm with VTS, but it is a 24month contract and you pay R1725 for the install.
R714pm with Cellc, and includes installation!
R735pm with Getwiza, and includes installation - 12 month claw-back.
 
just cancel and move to another isp there is plenty out there that would be happy to have your business?

CrispFibre is an example of one that i found to be good that you can try

accelerit are a bunch of @thieves and i just got taken by them
i paid for services not received from day one and they charged me again
for the entire month i received zero service and have been without internet so had to get lte in the mean time
i have all the tickets and emails send to them that i had no connectivity ..they couldn't be bothered .
like the others here suggested i decided to move isp so requested cancellation. btw i had not signed a contract it was month to month with no router taken from them i had my own router . they now claim there is a cancellation fee if we cancel before the 12 month period . i never seen that on any of there terms and condition ..
i spoke to many the accounts the technical the sales but requested a manager to call with no return calls from them.
i mean im like totally bumb struct how is it possible to charge for a service and bill without the service rendered lol amazes me totally .
as @Melvdm said yes i will try to sort myself out but this is to warn others about accelerit and the thieves they are
and if anyone here has any suggestions to take accelerit to task maybe report them like suggested ombudsman or someone else there must be some recourse
 
In my case they fraudulently debited my account for router replacement after they did not even give me a router. I used my own router because of their incompetence to send a router, but suddenly I have to pay a replacement for something that does not even exist! I hope that while company burns to the ground. They should not even be allowed to exist anymore.

How much did they charge you for the router?
 
R500. But for me it's not the money, it's the principle of wanting me to pay for something that they did not even give to me. They are a bunch of thieves and I'll post this on every social media thread that I see to make sure other people choose their wifi providers more carefully.

But I agree. Not the easiest bunch to work with.
 
I find it strange that with all the major ads on the web and radio people will legit chose a ISP that no one has heard of.

Sometimes they forced to. When you in estates often the choices are limited and a lot of the times these dodgy ones are the ones on the list.. why I don't know... seen it with a few friends/ex friends
