I'm so amped for this game for some reason, I love the steampunk genre when it comes to fps, i'm a big Bioshock lover, and I am hoping this game can capture me the same way Bioshock did, the only let down maybe for me of dishonoured is the whole stealth thing like AC/Splinter Cell, but i'll judge the game on that once it is released, anyone else excited for this?

Let down? Those are the best parts. But check this out. You can play as you want:

OK I guess saying it is a let down is harsh, i'm not saying it's game ruining, it's just not my style of gameplay, but ya you right, the fact you can play the game anyway you want and still finish it is awesome, I mean I even remember them saying, you could probably finish the entire game without killing a single thing, nonetheless, I don't think the game has quite got the hype it might deserve.

Are you guys getting Steam versions or have you ordered copies from local retailers to be shipped to your door?

I was unsure about this game until I saw some of the reviews that came along (most of them released today) and they're all rather positive. Now that my pre-order is in though I'm concerned that this truck strike may affect delivery. Do you reckon it would be better to collect at bt games or will they possibly suffer from the same problems that a courier would? I'd really hate to have to wait this whole week out and then also the weekend without a copy.

Just get it off Steam then.

I haven't have got mine yet. XCom took my funds. Maybe next month.

Well I've preordered from btgames, I still prefer getting a boxcase rather than everything just digitally, people always moan at me cause i'm like that, but it's just how I am, nothing against steam, because I love steam.

I'd go for steam but I'm a cheapskate...it's a lot cheaper getting it locally (trying to save funds for next month with Hitman Absolution and Assassin's Creed III lol).

I can't help but feel that Hitman is gonna fail and feel dated, I hope it isn't, but this is just what i've gather from the videos i've seen here and there.

Agreed - I think Steam is super convenient too but just generally more expensive and a bit slow to download at times. I also prefer a boxed copy for some reason...it just makes my purchase feel more meaningful. Perhaps BT games is a better option - would just love to know when they'll actually get stock in their stores (mission acquired: contact BT games and ask them!).

Yeah I was on the fence myself however when I watched the developer contracts playthrough (where one guy created a contract and the other played through it but doing things differently to get the job done) I thought it looked pretty cool. The worst part about Hitman is that it releases so close to ACIII...will Agent 47 take lead over Connor or will Connor knife him?

I think Hitman looks better than AC3. Especially since they have like 5 different difficulty modes that do more than change enemy hitpoints.

AC from 2 onwards just bored me by being so easy.

BT games generally gets the games always on release days, just be sure to pre order it though, and you get that nice littly bit of discount.

Btgames has their own personal driver; I doubt the truck strikes will affect them. And if the driver can't make they usually send someone from there head office to deliver. Unless the head office themselves having trouble getting it but I’m sure they would have mentioned something on their web-site if they did have problems.
I know this because I use to work for btgames not going to say which store :D

Played it over the weekend, it's pretty cool.. the environment definitely has a bioshock vibe to it. Graphics is basic but the art style more than makes up for it.
