I'm in the process of formatting my laptop, splitting the hdd into two drives and ghosting the c:.

problem is, I don't have ghost and i don't really want to install the windoze version of ghost.

is there anything i could do to image the drive from dos? keep in mind that I don't have a stiffy drive to boot from there... nor do i have windows 98 cd to boot to dos from a cd drive.

I'd appreciate some help. I know I had ghost (dos version) somewhere, but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to boot into dos (which I think it requires)

Drive Image 2002

A Ghost Boot Disk would work, depending of course if you are using non ide hard drives. The earlier versions of Ghost cannot see these drives. Actually I am not even sure if some of the later versions of Ghost can see these drives as I acquired Ghost 8 and IMO it sucked.

At the moment I use Drive Image 2002 which can see non ide drives.
I am sure this is downloadable somewhere.

It is also part of MiniPE boot CD. MiniPe has several backup programs including Ghost btw.

BTTB, can I run Drive Image 2002 off MiniPE if I mount it with Daemon Tools, don't have a disk to write the ISO on unfortunately.

Hmmm, I don't know.
I wonder if it would work?
Most likely not.

You need to boot with the MiniPe CD.
Actually quite simple, but just takes a couple of minutes to load.
Try and make yourself a copy from somebody.
