Need help with Diskpart. Diskpart in XP doesn't recognise 'removable' devices, only Vista's version does. I want to make the usb flash disk bootable.
Is there a hassle free way of doing this, i'm not expecting it to be as easy as with Vista using diskpart, but as i don't currently has access to a Vista machine, i need another way.

depends what you want to boot to on the USB stick. Search google for Ubuntu USB Boot stick. there are apps that will load the image onto a USB stick for you as well.

I want to use it for Windows 7, i successfully did it on a Vista machine, and booted up with the stick and installed Windows, but i no longer have access to any vista machines or windows 7 machines, i just need a quick way to make it bootable to install windows 7.

Ok i figured it out, used HP usb disk format tool, formatted with system files, used bootsect.exe /nt60 command and voila, perfectly boot able usb device.
