As someone with kids that watch the same thing over & over again, this has always been a thorn in my side. Finally I can just start a movie from the start.
Seems a very, very basic thing to do & not sure why it took so long.
Haven’t tried on my Samsung yet - only Apple TV.
I was looking for this the other day. I took a little nap while watching and wanted to restart the episode.
Nice to see I don't have to skip backwards anymore (when Android TV is updated).
Their "real" service is almost as good as Netflix. SA doesn't get that though. The "real" Disney+ app has had restart since forever.Insane to me that Disney, a trillion $ company, has a worse streaming app/website than Netflix
They literally just had to copy paste what Netflix is doing, because Netflix has been iterating for 10 years.
Does SA have a different app vs rest of the world?Their "real" service is almost as good as Netflix. SA doesn't get that though. The "real" Disney+ app has had restart since forever.
AFAIK Disney SA shares the Hotstar platform, which is a completely different service than you'll get in US/UK/EU. As a US D+ subscriber I can access local content in those countries but not here in SA.Does SA have a different app vs rest of the world?
Ah okAFAIK Disney SA shares the Hotstar platform, which is a completely different service than you'll get in US/UK/EU. As a US D+ subscriber I can access local content in those countries but not here in SA.
I’ve got both UK and SA Disney+ subs and UK app is indeed very different from the SA version.AFAIK Disney SA shares the Hotstar platform, which is a completely different service than you'll get in US/UK/EU. As a US D+ subscriber I can access local content in those countries but not here in SA.
Won’t work. You’d need to buy the UK version as their sign in is a username and password, not the cell phone nonsense we have here.Ah ok
Time to start using a VPN for Streaming I guess
UK, US, or (I presume) EU. Get which ever is cheaper - I've got the US Hulu, D+ and ESPN bundle.Won’t work. You’d need to buy the UK version as their sign in is a username and password, not the cell phone nonsense we have here.

The real disney also has proper Atmos and Vision.Their "real" service is almost as good as Netflix. SA doesn't get that though. The "real" Disney+ app has had restart since forever.
What does ours have that isn't 'real' ?The real disney also has proper Atmos and Vision.
Ok the Android version doesn't push out DV and Atmos, seems the Apple version probably does. What does ours have that isn't 'real' ?
Not a funny question - a legit question as some devices do output Atmos. I know there was a few issues with DV - but I think that is sorted too?
What we don't have is IMAX versions - and we have a really crappy interface.
Apple lost the DA for a whileOk the Android version doesn't push out DV and Atmos, seems the Apple version probably does.
Yup the Android app had DV for a bit, then switched to HDR then just didn't even bother anymore, DA has been working, not working, now it's just 5.1.Apple lost the DA for a whileBut it's back now .
*holds thumbs it stays that way*
The app is a **** show .
The the internal app on the LG C1 also bounced between HDR & DV over the past (nearly) year. But I think the DV on that works too now - but the DA Atmos doesn't
