Displayport to HDMI ???

So i want to connect my laptop to my LCD, the laptop has VGA and DisplayPort ports and the TV has VGA and HDMI.

The VGA works, but im want to get the HD stuff to look better.

Will a DisplayPort to HDMI cable work? and will it be significantly better than the VGA?

It should look and work better - by keeping the signal in the digital domain at all times. In fact Displayport can actually transmitHDMI/DVI signals.

I have something like this for my laptop, works great and will defiantly give you a better picture than VGA

This is an adapter, so i would need a Normal HDMI cable aswell. Is there no DisplayPort to HDMI cable?
