Dispose / Recycle a broken Treadmill

My treadmill has broken and I am looking to dispose of it. What is the best way to get this recycled?

Clean so it looks new.
Wrap a ribbon around so it looks like a gift.
Leave on the pavement.

You are correct dear sir. I would prefer to use that as a last resort though.
