Hi all,

Please may I ask for some assistance with my home internet setup from you enthusiasts.
I have in the past been using a telkom freeme package on a samsung S8 for my home internet.
Currently there is no reasonable alternative except maybe other mobile data not including rain unfortunately.
The S8 has terrible range on its hotspot however it does manage to deliver decent enough speed.

My question is what sort of device/system will give me the same speeds as the S8 while distributing the signal a little further and also not turning its 'hotspot' off like the S8 does every time there is nothing connected to it?

I tend to have about 5 devices connected to the hotspot ie 2-3 laptops and 3 other phones.

Basically I'm tired of having to turn the hotspot back on all the time and the range of the hotspot is say 50% too little while I do enjoy the speeds I get.
50m range would be amazing but I will settle for 20m.
Are the mifi devices that are fast and good or some form of router that will take a sim and do a good job of getting speed from the cellular network like the S8 does?
BTW I tried a lesser phone as a 'modem' and the speeds were terrible.

Thanks in advance for any good suggestions.

Most LTE routers should be fine for this. Put your SIM in and share the connection via WIFI to your other devices. Stays connected all the time.
