Bought these speakers at about 40% less than the logitec or creative 5.1 offering (at R1350) and I am a bit dissappointed.
The 5 small speakers mostly emit higher frequency sounds and the subwoofer supports low frequency bass so the mid range of sound is missing.
The subwoofer volume however can be reduced to a lower level so that there is not so much of a difference between the highs & lows. But when you put the speakers power off, the system does not store the settings you like and you have to fiddle with it to get the sound right everytime you switch the speakers on.
However the most dissapointing thing however is that the subwoofer has a constant hum. I don't know if I got a dud system or if the technology in them is weak.....or I'm a fusspot.
But I am going to try and exchange these things tomorrow.
