I've downloaded a Prison Break episode using BitLord ... The file is broken into a number of files in this format prison.break.420.hdtv-lol.r00 ... .r23 inside the folder Prison.Break.S04E20.HDTV.XviD-LOL. How do i convert these to a single file (.avi)?

uh....try unraring one of the files??

eish....know how to download a Torrent but no clue how to extract.....what is this world coming to!

They are splitted files that needs to be combined. From the looks of it, I haven't heard of the file extensions .r00. This made me research a bit on Google. And I have found a solution, download WinRAR and extract the files to the folder. It will automatically merge all the files into a single file.

Then, we will gonna use HJSplit. Am I right?

It depends, yes.. normally you would use HJSplit... but I have come across several that were simply RAR files renamed to .001, .002, .003, etc. Renaming them is pain... but hopefully you can just show your unarchiver to extract them sequentially.

Use the multi-renamer tool in Total Commander. Easy-peasy...

unfortunately it is not that easy...

001 becomes rar
002 becomes r01
003 becomes r02 ... etc.

try putting that into a renaming sequencer.

It is such a bother to rename file extension. We can easily download the specified tool for these kinds of files. Like HJSplit for .001, .002 and so on; and WinRAR or WinZIP for .zip and .rar files. I always have those programs in my machine.

That's fine for you and I... but how are n00bs supposed to figure all that out? :D
