DIY - Electric/Power Windows

I want to install Electric Windows in my car, and seeing as it's really simple mechanics, I'm prone to do it myself.

Now, I can find several sites where I can order a kit for Electric Windows from the USA,
but where can I go in SA?

+1. It's a good kit, I've seen it. It only works on very simple winding mechanisms though.

You put the button there. But if not, I dunno, you find some somewhere, hardware store usually has something you can use..

It's a Datsun 1200 in a REALLY good condition (only 43,000 kms on the clock). So, I might as well look after it.

(I'm still coin tossing about the idea of doing all 4...)
Central Locking with Remote = R350
Chrome Bullet Mirrors = R360
Mini Roadside First Aid Kit = R40

R1350.00 for a serious upgrade is not bad...

I think the Medic Kit should be essential while doing the first 2.
I'll first need to fix a few other things before I get to my toys. But if I'm ordering the 1st two kits, I might as well order the whole bunch at once.

The priorities are:
1. Do what is needed (nothing on the list)
2. Do what I want (the list)

The deciding factor will be what's left of my budget after the necessities.

Well, I got the car yesterday. And I've got a long checklist of things to do.
Luckily, whatever fits on a 1400 Nissan bakkie, will fit on my car.

Tomorrow I'm off to fix the starter and the gear lever.
Then I'll make a plan with the DIY things.

Foozball if you do put in Central locking kit plz make sure to put some lock tight on the screws since they seem to come loose.

Update: Never got round to installing it. But I'm sure that on one of the auto-forums there will be someone.
Now this thread can sleep peacefully and gather dust in the ancient threads room
