DIY Paradox alarm: add another wireless sensor

Sorry to resurrect this thread. I would like to add another PMD 85 using my keypad. I have 2 zones. Zone 1 is inside the house, zone 2 is outside. This PMD must be assigned to zone 2 (there are 4 other sensors in the zone).
Please can someone tell me how to do it? Thank you

I would actually put it on a separate zone as you are only using two and must have some free. But if you want it on zone 2 go to the nearest sensor on zone 2 and connect your four wires there and connect the other end on the PMD 85. Download the Paradox installer's manual for help with the programming.

I only know how to program a Paradox system using Babyware or Winload through the IP150 module I'm afraid. Programming it through the keypad seems like torture.

I just had additional Paradox beams installed outside my home With the addition of a repeater installed inside. The guy did it with a Tm70 and it was painfull. I have no dogs so would not know how many false alarms you’ll get. The occasional cat triggers the Nvr 780 beams. One beam will not do it. I”ve got 9 installed now with a 2500 m2 yard.
Visit alarmtec.co.za for info. There are quite a variety of beams available now.
You can do a diy install of an electric fence without the electric box just to scare intruders off. Nobody touches a fence to see if it is live.
What type of dogs do you have? They need their kennel where they can sense intruders.
You realise intruders share info ....

I've got NVR780's all around my house and I've got 3 dogs ranging from small to medium and they've never set them off.

I installed my own Paradox MG5050 alarm system at home with 9 different wireless sensors. It's really easy to do if you have the Winload or Babyware software. Your alarm system needs to have the IP module installed though so you can access the control panel through your home network. Then you just connect from your laptop using the software and change the necessary settings. You also need the master password, which might be a problem if your alarm system was installed by someone else.

if there is no IP module, I assume the 307USB module will work to connect the pc to the board ?

Is it possible that you can connect any 433MHz passives or door contacts, or does it have to be Paradox branded? The prices are pretty steep for one of these Paradox ones.

Do you know if Babyware can still be connected locally via IP150+ module v5.02.xx without creating a Paradox/SWAN account in Babyware? As i just want to configure the panel locally through Babyware, and eventually integrate it in HASS. Im afraid if Paradox has disallowed Babyware local connections & configuration locally with their new IP150 firmware versions.. it seems this is where they are heading, eventually.

Definitely. When I'm physically at my house I connect to the IP150 module with the latest firmware directly through Babyware via the LAN ip address, no problem. When I'm not at home I connect via Swan. Both methods work.

I’ve used roboguard in the past. And they’ve worked really well. I know you can integrate it with a house alarm system, but did not do it , the noise it makes will waken the dead

Tell me, do any of you know the estimate data usage of the IP150+ Module in a month?

Is it more than 1GB?

When I was still using the Paradox app - it was barely noticeable. Probably 10-100MB.
