Ok so last night i took my DK out for a spin in pvp... and all i can say is WTF ZOMG PWND!!!! I came top on dps hole night ! and i just dont die... only prob is i have so many spells Geez ... but it was flipin fun compared to my rogues one target dps i can take 3 guys and still pwn all 3 :D

You should have tried a lvl 80 DK when WOTLK launched with an unholy DK i took on 5 guys with a healer backing me in pve tanking gear had like 32k hp and
toped dps in tanking gear.

But i have seen DK being nerfed with every patch were not that OP anymore.
Since Launch.
DK tanking was way more fun than Druid tanking i got all the heroic achievements
on him.

I had to take a load of crap from people for tanking in unholy they were like omg hes unholy he wants to tank when they see me in action they shut up.

On launch most believed frost is the ONLY tank spec at least on my server.

Still in tank gear my DK is the only class that can kill a holy pala with full pvp gear with all other classes they wear me out.I still pvp with pve tank gear lol.
 
You probably haven't met a decent ret pally with his .spam_rape button ready to kill :P

Yep - there have been some odd DK tanking methods. I know some people enjoy unholy's bone armor. I once ran heroics with a DK tank who was dual wielding... Surprisingly enough, he wasn't a failtrain. Just needed a little more healing, but we did all right.
 
lol i have 29.5k health and i also do decent amount of dps... and dks are still awsum u guys seem to just have the rong kind on r servers :P maybe me boom shud come show u guys how its done

They have 3 health bars (cooldowns bepending) almost killem OMG /bubble /heal then almost killem again OMG /Lay'o'hands. WtF

Nope.

DK's are wearing thin now since they are being nerf'd to shyt. Seriously....
DK's are no longer the OP WTF PWND class no more, if you want to feel Immortal, roll a Paladin ;) I can kill a DK on anyone of my classes and it doesn't even take skill to do so :D.

When I see a Pala, I run and run like hell. DK's I actually run after them :p
 
when i go into BG's with my paladin as prot, it takes about 5 - 6 of those rubbish DK's to kill me, its very amusing them trying to death grab me all the time, and i have the black heart trinket and when you see it proc, they run away coz it looks like hand of protection. lulz
 
Ah yeah pala's they are so... so ... ffs i hate them. No mata what i said i realy enjoy my DK it was awsum
 
dk's where stupidly over powered, yes they are a hero class but game wise they shouldnt be able to just faceroll everything, and the problem is your landed up with these serious nabs rolling dk's, thing i hate is you get this dk nab in your group and you tanking the boss, then the **** face go's and uses army of the dead, the bug hasnt been fixed with those spawns taunting the hole time, so it makes it next to near impossible to keep agro.
 
I have not met a Ret Paladin that can beat my DK in his PVE tank gear.
I can outlast his burst his bubble easy with deathstrike spam and deceases cause most rets are so centred on dps that they forget to decurse the diseases.
If things really get bad you use deathpact 40% hp back like a potion.
And from pve tanking i learned to time my defensive moves like bone shield,ice bound fortitude anti-magic shields and anti-magic zone you do know ALOT of ret dmg is magic based..

I really did feel sorry for rogues at launch i owned a full epic geared rogue with my blue tanking gear DK were way OP i killed him within 15 sec he could not stun me once ice bound fortitude prevents it.

Best pala i have ever seen in 1v1 is a holy hybrid speced pvp geared pala.
The guy wasted everyone infront of Ogrimar he had like 80000 pvp kills even my ballance druid could not do **** to him.

I have met a disc priest i could not kill but he could not kill me either.

Was a good feeling to pawn his face with my DK.
He was getting a big head from all the wining.
The guy was pissed off was saying yeah DKs are so fraking OP.
Funny thing is he just owned 3 other DKs.
Was not cause i was good just deathstrike spam all the way and keeping 3 deceases up you can heal yourself for 4k per shot even more sometimes.

I also loved DS for one reason when the boss is like 5% and your healer died from aoe dmg you can use death pack and keep yourself up with DS.
Your group will be like wow you lasted that loong without a healer.

Bone shield made unholy the best tanks thats why its been nerfed 3 times that i know of.
If your dodge and parry were high you could have a permanent boneshield.

Happened more than once.

there used to be a guild on my server they migrated since, a pvp guild the guild leader zylpofa has over 300k kills:) a rogue

on alliance its this twat named parashade with a few 100k aswell.

i dont know much about the DK class, i played it for a total of a day then deleted it.

But you are right about the hybrid spec, holy/prot they are bout to nerf the hole heal gear in prot tree does more sp, not that i have tried it it. But imagine you in arena and you see this paladin with 20k mana and you like ah ha holy, next min you get this avengers shield in your face :|

Yeah and with the hybrid pvp holy spec they do alot of dmg even for healers most other healers has to use ALOT mana to do cappy dmg they can just auto attack you down.

I am talking 1v1 ofc.
 
I abandoned my death knight because it's rune system is the most f***ing stupid playing experience/mechanic in the game imo. Everything you do is comprised of waiting for cooldowns. Ugh. **** that. I hate staring at my rune/runic power bar playing whackamole dps all the damn time.

Fire mage now and having a blast. Melee dps is overrated, and tanking is for masochists.
 
I prefer generic BG's not into the whole arena stuff way to much effort tbh

no tanking on my server is for people who want to be guaranteed progression:)
