D'Link DIR-825ACG1 QoS Engine Missing in 3.0.5

Hi all

I recently signed up for fibre through Afrihost/Octatel. Connectivity is up and so far so good. I'd like to set up the QoS engine that's specified in the manual, but it appears to be missing from the router interface?

Not sure if this is a problem with the specific firmware version or if my ISP loaded a non stock firmware with QoS cut out

Has anyone here set up the QoS engine in the new D'Link UI?

I have the same router also couldn’t find the Qos setting only bandwidth management
 
So I have the same router and my wifi is dropping intermittently on it. I was looking at trying a manual firmware update... Only to discover it's running 3.05 while DLink themselves only show 3.0.4 as the latest.

So it turns out that Afrihost gets their routers from Russia and requested a new firmware version to "fix issues in 3.0.4". But 3.0.5 is not available anywhere I can find online... #puts on tin foil hat.

I just got fibre from Afrihost via Vumatel and have one of these routers. I have it connected, setup the port forwarding I need and so far the Wireless has been fine, also running 3.0.5 firmware. For what it's worth given how old the OP is, even though the QoS engine is missing you can do bandwidth control for the Wireless clients at least. On 3.0.5 I went to WiFi on the left, then client shaping, and you can shape the bandwidth per mac address of connected wifi devices. The firmware is seemingly going to be an issue on these, but since I didn't pay for it, I'll use it until I want something better.
 
So have we all decided this dodgy Afrihost v3.0.5 Russian firmware is too crappy to be worth it?

Just wondering if I should replace this router with a different one - as have been having a few issues with connection (most notably that there is signal but it won't let something connect until the signal is VERY strong...)

I've got a Tenda AC1200 that I haven't even opened yet? Would that be better do you think?

The QoS feature has been split up into a number of settings. Here is the latest user guide that I have. My router firmware version is 5.0.1 - got the flash file straight from Afrihost tech support.

Search for WMM. Here is an abstract from that section in the guide:

"On the Wi-Fi / WMM page, you can enable the Wi-Fi Multimedia function.
The WMM function implements the QoS features for Wi-Fi networks."

My WMM setting is Auto.
