DLink DSM 520

Anyone have one of these media streamers?

Is it stable? Would the 520 be worth buying?

I bought a Showcentre 200 which is slightly unstable with wireless and I think it's because it was one of the 1st streamers. I'm hoping the newer one are more stable?

the dsm320 hasn't given me any problems although the odd movie or so might jitter a bit depending on how it's encoded etc. 95% of the movies/shows I've watched on it worked with no problems. Also you get much better response running it via network cable than by 802.11

You might wanna wait a bit as dlink have released a new player in the states. (DSM750)

I've also heard quite a few good things about the Netgear EVA8000.

Wow, that looks great

Thing is it'll be 6 months till it's here and probably in the region of R4,000.00. Any other makes that you know that do media streamers? I know Pinnacle Systems and Dlink ... and I sorta remember one from Acer, but can't get any information.

uhm, I think there's a DSM 320 on sale on gumtree? cheap if i remember correctly.
