I have one of these 2 port usb switches that simply refuses to work. It is about 2 yrs old out of warranty. Can it be fixed? Where? And is it worth it?

When you say "refuses to work", do you mean that it doesn't switch on?!?
If so, then it is most probably just the power supply. You can buy a new power supply @ Game etc. Just get one of those Ellies ones. They cost about R70. There are two kinds 500ma & 1000ma.
Check the old power supply for the power rating & buy the appropriate one & make 100% sure that you select the correct voltage on the new power supply BEFORE connecting & powering up...Mmmmkay...
