Cannot seem to find Primary and Secondary DNS address for MWeb internet.
Appreciated if someone can assist.
Thank you

1.1.1.1
8.8.8.8
9.9.9.9
8.8.4.4

To name a few, if you leave your pppoe settings on dynamic DNS it should automatically call Mweb routers for DNS IP's. Only if you are apart of their network that is

So ....,here is the issue - my Amplifi Aliencurrently has Google DNS of 8.8.8,8 . It has no option of a dynamic address setting . . How it got there I cannot say .. To see whether this will use the MWeb address automatically appears I have to reset .
I have today changed DNS to 1.1.1.1. Reason I am asking is that both my WiFi extenders suddenly change from the IP address of 192.168....,...which gives my Apple devices access to the internet , to 10.10.10 with no internet connection.
No one seems to know why and how to fix it .
Thinking if I change to MWeb DNS addresses might sort this out.

Factory reset, firmware updates maybe?

Are they cloud managed?

DNS doesn’t impact local lan IP range. Something changed on your main Amplifi (update or reset) that caused the change from 192.x to 10.x

Sounds like a rogue DHCP server on your network?

Your repeater is configured wrong and running its own DHCP server. (Configured as a router instead of a repeater)

This has nothing to do with DNS or the Amplifi router, the problem is at the repeater.

Question is rather if you have an Amplifi system why on earth are you using repeaters instead of Amplifi mesh nodes?

Have reset both mesh extenders - same.
Works Ok for a while on all devices and then on a device at random to 10.10 etc with no internet .
Reset the WiFi and reverts back to correct IP address.( for a while)
Not cloud managed ,no.
To attempt to correct prior to a reset want to manually insert MWeb DNS and test if Re- occurs.

The problem has NOTHING TO DO WITH DNS.

You have something else on your network running another DHCP server, or you’ve somehow setup a second one on the Amplifi router.

This also has nothing to do with Mweb or your internet connection. This is all on your local network.

Reset everything including the Amplifi router.

Did you add something to your network recently and then the problems started?

Thank you all for your valued input -much appreciated !.....Yes- certainly ,sounds like the extenders causing this .
Connecting direct to the Amplifi router , this never happens .
What is confusing is this happens on both extenders..........One is an Amplfi Mesh HD unit so made to work with the Amplifi Alien and automatically configures itself ,the other is a Netgear Nighthawk which is set up as an extender (it is faster than the Amplfi mesh unit by the way in terms of wifi speed) .
If anything then , this should only happen on the Netgear which is not a mesh unit .
Remains a mystery !!
If my network is running another DHCP server which we must assume is the issue , how do I then fix this .........
Possibly first take the Netgear extender out of the loop to eliminate this as a cause and only use the Amplifi mesh unit ???

Yeap work backwards, remove the netgear first I would say. Seems rogue DHCP.
