Hi,

Do you know of any company's in SA that offer this service.Something similar to the following ...

http://www.dnsmadeeasy.com/services/dns-failover-system-monitoring/

Basically its having multiple "A" record IPs point to 1 hostname. So if the 1st IP address stops responding it will automatically failover to the 2nd IP address. This is to provider better uptime incase a line drops.

Don't know of anyone but also don't see a reason you would need a local provider?

Thanks guys. The reason for a local company was for support.I prefer picking up the phone and speaking to them if there are any issues. But the Amazon Route53 looks good , so I will check that out.My domain is currently hosted with Internet Solutions , so I will check with them if they provide this feature as I don't really want to start moving domains etc just to get this feature working.

There are some international companies that reply to email quicker then some of our hotshot ISPs can answer a phone. :)
Don't ever let that hold you back.
