DNS Error Temporary network problem, please retry later

Ive had DNS issues then a few minutes later I tried again and the site works.. Is it something like Iburst's proxy server cache been deleted and is being updated on every request?

Nope. Still Errors

Nope. Still Errors

We have called in to iBurst and explained this problem in the past as it constantly happens. You cannot work, and as someone else mentioned, you cannot even get to Google in some cases, like right now actually. When I explain the problem, they gave me a different number to call due to needing more "advanced support". Then the poor oke on the other end tries every browser he can find, and then starts using mobile devices to find the problem, and then magically they find something, and vwalla, it all works again as they found cache that needed flushing on the MTN side of something or other...

Now I would love to have the time to do this every time we get these DNS errors, but we just don't so can iBurst not just find a way of automating these cache flushes or something??

This is extremely frustrating and as murphy would have it, it always happens when you have something Reeeeeeeeeeaaly urgent to do...

Sorry to say it , but this is getting SUPER annoying.

:(

Thanks, I realize it is frustrating but please continue to post the examples so that I can escalate it to the DNS admins. The more examples I have, the larger the stick I can use.

A few sites are down for me, while most seem to work just fine, www.actiontrip.com, , & any of the EA sites for example. I'm not sure of any others, but those are flat refusing to load for me the last 2 days.

I just tested it, & it seems to be working now, along with the other sites I couldn't get to load. I don't know if it was something I was doing, or if there was a problem your end, but it seems to be fixed now. Thanks for checking into it.

I was still getting errors on Fri, Sat & Sunday still.

I will check this afternoon but hell man, you people need to be faster with "fixing" things like this. All these DNS errors & terribly slow loading times are frustrating.

I tried that & it was still a FAIL! :(
Any improvement that you see by using Google DNS or OpenDNS is purely coincidental ;) That error is being reported by the caching proxies and you have no control over which DNS server they use.

What are the urls that are an issue?

I tried again when I got home yesterday & I have not yet received a DNS error so far. Sunday night was the last time I got one. I will keep an eye on it but I flushed the DNS too & I hope its sorted.

Got those dns errors last night.

By the way, be careful when linked to opendns. Someone has registered an ip as a static one from iburst [not knowing it's not static] and has put logging and blocking on the ip. I got blocked yesterday by opendns due to rules on the IP. Changed to google dns instead.

So was the blocking for p0rn?

Is anyone in Roodepoort having problems connecting to sites including google.com and googlecode.com? I am getting ramdon DNS errors since 2 hours ago.

Their complete system is down now.. looks like it went pathetic to nothing
