DNS isues??

Anyone else having DNS/address resolving issues with SAIX/Telkom.
Since last night (31 Aug) just after 10pm - could not resolve addresses.
If actual IP address typed in, no problem.
Skype connection also fine.

make 4.2.2.1/2/3 your secondary DNS servers

do you have Windows XP and did you do an update that loaded Service Pack 3? That has been causing problems and you have to statically assign DNS's. Try these Distributed Recursive Caching only DNS's - http://www.saix.net/cgi-bin/saix_dns.pl

That was exactly the problem. DNS server address wasn't getting loaded - manually inserted router address into primary DNS address field and all ok.

I had the exact same problem yesterday at a client, did the same you did as well.
Open a command prompt window, click start run, type cmd and press enter
Try resetting your TCP/IP settings:

netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

Clear your ARP cache:

netsh interface ip delete arpcache

Let me know if it works after that, since I'd like to test it at the client.
