DNS problem for mail.google.com?

Maybe it's just me, but for some reason I can't access mail.google.com on my desktop unless I connect to a VPN first. A tracert without VPN immediately say's unable to resolve target system name. Connect to PIA or Windscribe, boom it just works. Never seen this issue before.
 
Works from Vodacom on their default provided DNS resolver..

Which DNS resolvers are you guys using that are not working..?
 
Unable to access mail.google.com on
Rain Network /Afrihost but on cell C able to access the page without any hiccups. This started last night...

Problem resolved

My folks are on WA Rain network, I'm pretty sure they haven't changed any default settings since they are not technical like that. I can't find the password for the router either.
 
Can't access Gmail or Yahoo Mail on RAIN... :mad: Working fine on Vodacom LTE though. Very strange.

Have you tried rebooting the device? I had connection issues yesterday but a quick reboot solved it all
