Hey
I seem to be having some DNS issues with my new TelkomInternet DSL account.
I can ping sites such as google using their IP address but can't lookup and domain names on my Mac or Linux machines.
My Windows machine can lookup DNS names without problems, but I don't know if its because it is cached locally.
My router reports my IP as in the 41.243 range
The other details are:
Default Gateway: 41.243.192.1
DNS1: 196.43.46.190
DNS2: 196.43.38.190
If I do a dig on my MacBook it times out, even if I try
dig www.google.com @196.43.46.190
Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem?
Also, I was using my IS DSL account up untill and little while ago and all was fine with all my machines.
Update: Switching back to my IS account fixes the problem, so its something to do with telkominternet.
