DNS servers

Hi guys

I'm looking for some dns server IP's. Anyone have any I could try out. Been having connectivity issues since sunday and more and more testing is pointing to it being a dns issue.

You might want to try Telkom's DNS servers at 196.25.255.34 and 196.25.255.3.

OpenDNS's 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 work very well for me too.

41.160.0.37 <---- I don't get a response from this one every 5-20 minutes.

Using Orin's dns servers has somewhat fixed my problem although I don't think it's DNS anymore as I can download using an internet browser just fine but when programs such as photoshop want to update I don't get any bandwidth coming through at all even with Orin's dns

i have the same problem...
the internet is really quick.
but with other applications like skype..peer 2 peer apps etc. they absolutely struggle to do anything

On Neotel I use opendns < http://www.opendns.org > ; I find it more reliable....

Go onto www.neotel.co.za and download the drivers for the neotel service that you have.

It will install a program called FWT wireless connect. I find this program very helpfull, as it automatically sets up the connection details which is pretty cool. No typing for us.

Once you have clicked on the Shortcut on the desktop i box will come up saying Connect, Settings, and Exit. Click settings

Bottom left corner is where you can set your primary and secondary static DNS server Ip's

Was looking earlier. For those that want the current DNS servers used are:

WAN Primary DNS 41.164.0.11
WAN Secondary DNS 41.160.0.37

Is it possible to set UnoDNS on the Neotel router/modem? I use Roku for Netflix and Hulu and therefore cannot set the DNS servers at device level.

It will recommend the best/closest servers for you.
