Hi all.

A year or so ago I changed from a Diginet Line to a ADSL 512 line (actually 2 of them)

I have a Linux proxy server, and behind it a mail server. (Exchange 2K)

The obvious problem when I changed over, was that the MX record and IP address changed every 24 hours. So we tried dynamic DNS. I have for the last year had nothing but bleeding ulcers because of the dyndns not always being up to date and my mail regularly bouncing all over the place. At one point some or other peering disagreement between SAIX and IS also caused many mails to go missing into cyberspace, who knows where. Recently the ISP greated a local DYNDNS server, but that made no real difference.

Has any of you had similar experiences, and what was the resolution?
Thanx

Purchase a cheap hosting solution overseas with a fixed IP to store your mail, which is then retrieved by your ADSL mail server. You can find offerings starting from $5 a month.

I can only agree. Get a cheap web host. It's less than the cost of a Diginet line (by MILES) and have your mail spooled, or picked up.
