I have a ZTE Vodafone 3G stick which works fine on Windows XP and Windows 7 32 bit computers, but when I plug it into my 64 bit windows 7 laptop it detects the modem but then sticks on "enabling modem" forever.

I'm running version 10.1.108.29105 software.

Anybody know anything about this? Is it because the software has to be updated or changed to some other version?

Thanks for any help.

Try MDMA out , you can download it from here

Had success on a few client's systems when i was working for a Retail company. There is also a driver-only package you can grab. First uninstall all software relating to that stick and stop the installation if it persists once inserted.

The Developer is on this forum so if for some reason it doesn't work, you can contact him. Mr ginggs :)

PS
I moved alot of users accross to this software as it provided minimal fuss when they had issues with older Vodafone software :p.

Thanks Yuu and dablakmark8 - software looks like it might solve the problem - I'll give it a try.

Appreciate your help.. :-)

Did you come right.
What i did was reflash my modem link.. be careful choose the right one http://www.dc-files.com/index.html

Then download the software mobile partner and you good to go..

I tried a whole bunch of things, including the software suggested above, but no joy. I have 2 3G sticks, so I tried the other one, a slightly older K3765, and I got that to work. The other problem ZTE stick works OK on Windows XP and Windows 7 32 bit, so I'll use that stick when I work on those computers. I even borrowed my boss'es 3G stick, and that also works fine. I dunno what it is but it's also a white vodafone stick. The only thing that freaks my ZTE stick out is the word "64 bit" then it can't enable itself. On any other platform it works like a bomb. Wasted my whole flippin day. Stupid stick.

Thanks for your help guys. The problem has been solved by a workaround.
