Do all LCD monitors accept S-Video input? I ask what could be a very simple question as I'm thinking of replacing my separate LCD TV which doubles as a monitor, with a standalone monitor.
So would a standalone monitor accept video input from my DVD player, which has S-Video output? Or indeed, would it accept video input direct from my DSTV decoder through, presumably, an RCA socket? (In both cases I do not listen to audio through my TV, but rather straight off the DVD player or decoder into an amplifier).
Bottom line: unless you need to watch free-to-air TV through an actual TV tuner, can you therefore get by without having a separate TV, just using the LCD computer monitor driven directly by a DVD player and/or a decoder?
