Just want you guys to know that I just talked to telkom and it seems that it is possible to upgrade to the Do Broadband 3 option from 384 and if you have telkominternet already...

Some people said telkom told them it isnt, but I just phoned 10219 talked to a nice lady, cant spell her name or even say it but she assured me that in 2 - 3 days I will have a 4 meg line and my current setup will be merged into a Do Broadband 3 option, only costing me R554 per month.

I also have a contract with telkom (To get the free router) and it seems that this isnt a problem, as someone have thought or stated.

I dont know if this might differ from person to person who you talk to at telkom, might be :P But luckily I talked to someone that believes it is possible and she has organised it, hopefully the 2 - 3 days will stay 2 - 3 days...

The lady also told me that I was still paying for my dail-up account and gave me a number to call to sourt this out, very helpfull.

The lady at that number was sufficient in cancelling my dail-up account... ALtho it seems like either my phone was screwed or her headset, because there was allot of noise on the line.

Anyways, just thought Id tell people that have had problems doing this or who was thinking of doing this that it is possible.

Shot.

Yea...

Asked the lady repeatedly if its only going to cost me R554 and she said yes... Now to wait for the next bill and see.

Line has been upgraded, less then 24 hours :) Pretty impressed, now to wait for the bill.

I pity you , you signed a contract for a free modem, when the modem is free on the self install anyhow, goodluck with being locked in will telescum when neotel gets here, or they screw you over bigtime.

NEVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THE DEVIL.

J

You can stop...

24 month contract is almost over, signed it over a year and a half ago before neotel was even a glimpse of hope. And before self install even exsisted.

Im just saying that some people said that if you did sign the contract you cant change to do broadband but this isnt true. Changing to do broadband isnt a breach of contract. This topic is merely for the people who replied to my first topic about do broadband and wasnt sure if it was possible.
