Do fingerless gloves keep your hands warm enough?

I don't generally struggle with cold temperatures and used to actually prefer winter to summer and spring, but these days, my hands are suffering through the winter season. I suppose it has to do with poor blood circulation, which I haven't had issues with until a year or two ago.
It's tricky to address as I have a job that requires me to be deskbound and I can't work on a PC or mobile device while wearing full gloves. Fingerless gloves don't really do the trick either and I even ordered heated gloves but they don't do much unless my hands are also in my pockets and fingers are covered up.
The only thing which seems to work is to keep the coffee flowing and keep hands warm by holding the mug! :D

Try inserting you hands into a warm pie

I still have a pair of R10 gloves I picked up from the Grahamstown festival many moons ago that works well, but it's easier (not necessarily cheaper) to address the situation from a room standpoint.

Are you in the office or a WFH situation? If in the office, perhaps turn the AC up a bit. If at home, you could look at a space heater (the 400W jobbies are quite efficient for smaller rooms up to 9sqm) or look at roof insulation which will also make a huge difference.

I have two pairs of fingerless gloves that I bought from PEP stores for less than R50 per pair (actually think they were like R29.99 or something) and they are awesome when working on the keyboard. The finger gets covered to the first knuckle, whole of palm and top of hand stays warm.

I have sweaty palms and when my hands are cold it seems like my heartrate increases and the sweaty palms get worse - wearing the fingerless gloves sorts that out too.

Perhaps you should persevere with your pair a bit more. Maybe it just takes getting used to and wearing them for longer?

If you can't find proper fingerless gloves, then have a look at heating your table. Try to get a heating pad you can place under your mouse and/or in front of your kb.
