I have received this sms on my prepaid VC number.

This number was one of my contract numbers, and I changed it to prepaid to keep the number, and I did not subscribe to any service.

Due to the fact that my credit is only R0.50, nothing could be deducted.

If I don't unsubscribe, will I be debited when I load credit on my phone in 4 months time?

Do I have to unsubscribe? I mean, by sending an unsubscribing sms, I admit that I did subscribe to their service!

(FREE MESSAGE) http://mobilevip-xa-celeb.awap.tv/?m=2784xxxxxxx U're subscribed 2 [email protected]?msg stop to 40475. Help? 0841951111 (VAS)

Thanks. I did not do anything before I have heard the valued advice from my friends on my favorite forum. :)

No, I don't want to win anything, it is just the truth.

I think phone Vodacom and ask them to check if the number has been subscribed or if there is billing pending. If you are subscribed you can go onto Hellopeter and complain about the sms and ask to be unsubscribed if you are in fact subscribed.

Also it is not allowed to use a Short code for unsubscribes. That Short Code costs more than a Standard SMS. When ever you receive a SMS from a corporate check the Sender number. It should be a long number not a short code.

Carefully note if they are charging you or not!

A lovely girl smsed me today, Bianca! She wanted R20. What a b**ch. I've never subscribed to crap ever. Makes me mad that these companies are trading cell numbers...

SMS Code: 39704
VAS Rate: R20.00
