1. If you are with Iburst, do you have a static IP address?
2. Also how does one go about changing an IP address?
3. If you restart your Iburst modem, do you get a new IP address every time after the restart?
Pls help, Thanks

If you want a static ip with iBurst it'll cost an extra R200 a month on top of whatever package you take.

So does this mean that currently every time i restart my modem i get a different IP address

ipconfig will give you info about the assigned IP on your computer- assuming you've got the iBurps plugged into the PC directly, which is a bad bad idea- kind of like having sex with a prostitute without a condom.
Anyhow, if you have a router ipconfig will only give you the IP assigned locally to your PC.

To find out your publicly assigned dynamic IP you have two options:

1) log into router and view it there
2) go to a site that can detect your IP. Some don't work reliably thanks to that lovely piece of sh*t transparent proxy that iBurps runs.
