I was at the Grasmere toll plaza on friday and a dude on his bike just drove right through the toll gate and didnt pay, this got me thinking do they charge bikers or not?

Yes, at the moment bikes pay the same amount as 4 wheel vehicles. A lower rate is apparently under discussion though.

I do not, just blitz through! Until these rip-off twats charge me for 2 wheels then i will stop and pay.

Another big RIP-OFF.

Yeah right! Nobody has a choice. We all pay to use the roads - why not you? If you do not want to use the toll roads, don't, but what you are doing now is ILLEGAL!... Makes me wonder who the real twat is;)

I don't get why we pay a fortune in tax, and then still pay for toll-gates, refuse removal, etc, etc, etc.

Light vehicles and motor cycles essentially do no damage to the road surface. If all heavies were taken out the equation a road would essentially last forever. However other issues like water intrusion into the layerworks, weather, poor construction etc can cause the surface to deteriorate sufficiently in order for the lighties to create wear.

It amazes me the logic employed to determine that motorcycles need to pay an equal toll rate to cars. By that logic cars should pay the same as 6 plus axled vehicles.
