Do MTN Android devices come with bloatware pre-installed?

I am currently using a BlackBerry 9320 which I got on contract from Vodacom. I am disgusted at the amount of bloatware that Vodacom is pushing on to their devices, and this is more apparent on my friend's S4, with the carrier logo in the app drawer, the default wallpaper, and the startup/shutdown graphics.

My contract is about to end, and I want to sign a HTC One (M8) on MTN. Will this phone have any sort of carrier bloatware installed?

I got my Galaxy S3 mini through MTN and it seems the only thing they added is the APN settings. No other bloatware

We have nothing compared with the US carriers.

My G2 from Cell C is clean.

Cell C phones are completely free from bloatware, Vodacom is the worst in that regard- absolutely atrocious!

I got a BlackBerry Q10 from MTN sometime this year and the only thing that was from MTN was the start up screen. After updating the software that was removed from my device, it is now as it was when it left the factory.

One of the main reasons when I was on prepaid I got my phones from MTN was because they don't add that crap.

I was disgusted with the amount of bloatware on my cousins Z1 compact from MTN.

Lots of crap on the vodacom ones...including one mildly interesting app (to check data balances etc)...sadly its broken though.

Just root them and flash them with the original Rom. Keep a backup and replace it if you need repairs done.
