I took the 50 gig package at R350 per month. SIM only and due to the slow speeds I cancelled at the suggestion of one of their consultants.(I have the email)

Well I received an invoice for R999 for cancelling withing 6 months which as far as I can tell only applies if I took their God Damned modem.
Its like speaking to a brick as the retard I spoke to now insist that I was locked into a 6 month contract and this is the cancellation fee.

Can @AfriMan or @Afrihost-Gian please clarify or are you just a bunch of thieving bastards?
 
The T+C's states clearly the R999 cancellation charge will apply to all - sim or device package.

Makes no sense for sim only agreed, but that's 1 reason I never initially signed up.

There was even a discussion here on MyBB around these charges when the package was announced - go and search for it.

They can take the blood money.... not gonna kill me, but if they don't remove my details off their systems as I requested their will be hell to pay.

Always read the T's and C's. Make a point of that.

I agree though, a 1k cancellation charge for a sim-only deal is just nuts.
 
thats the reason I never signed up as well because there was no guarantee that cell c will be any good.
