Do people still play GW2

Anet really ****ed the community over with the way they're handling new content. I used to have about 20 buddies playing the game with me, but now nobody plays it anymore. What this game needs is an expansion, not this Living Story crap that gives you a bit of content to keep you busy for an hour or two before you go back to playing the same content you've been playing the last two years.

You won't struggle to get people for doing dungeon runs and you'll always find people doing champion chains in Queensdale, but many of the mid-level zones are quite dead. I don't really know how active the SA community still is, but there are a few die-hards who play the game regularly.

Dropped R450 on it when it came out coz all my friends said they were going to play it.

My friends stopped playing very soon after they bought it. Ended up giving it away to another buddy of mine.
 
Disappointing.... but oh well, I am enjoying it - it's the first mmo I have played properly
 
It's nice for the first while and you'll definitely get your money's worth from it, but for most people it just doesn't have enough staying power to keep them playing for more than a few months.
 
Yeah... I'm only on week 3 with a lvl 25 mesmer. Although rolled 4 different characters
 
I stopped playing because I didn't have time and eveyrtime I logged on there was 3 gigs of updates.

I like the game but its just not a pick up and play kind of game.
 
I have 9x lvl 80's and finished my 2nd legendary this last weekend so yeah I would say I play :p
The community is still massively active on Aurora Glade so I dont see any hassles.
If you want to get into an active guild then give me a shout and I can give you details.
Being in a big, friendly guild makes all the difference.

Mes is fun for pvp and thats about it...
A warrior or ele are also good, dungeon groups are always happy to take them.

More reason to join a guild. There is always someone willing to lend a hand with something you are stuck on or show you the tips and tricks of the game.
Also having an active guild means guild events and fun organised things to do.
Which server are you playing on?
 
Still on the hunt for that legendary, but mainly doing now WvW and PvP (and dailies) - once you have rolled the main characters and done all the stories it pretty much comes down to either farming (boring) or ranking up in WvW / PvP.
 
What's your guild called Rocket-Boy? I'm on Aurora Glade too and looking for an active guild to join up with.
 
Played it along with the wife, but I've been on a hiatus of late. :)

I'll remember to check out GWSA when I get into it again.
 
My wife still plays a couple of times a week. I lost interest and gave my account away!
 
GW2 is quiet - even across most of the SA guilds. Most ppl moved over to Wildstar (I personally don't like it). As of late, many ppl are just farming (either karma or T5/T6 for new gear).
 
Well with Season 2 that started, the game for me personally got a lot better new dragon, map, new creatures to fight and story line is just better.
 
I would love to start playing again, but after the update where they redid all the world bosses, my pc can't handle those areas anymore :/ Can't play WvW anymore either.. So I'm stuck with sPvP, dungeons and doing the random events on the map .. :(
 
Do we have a list of the still currently active SA guilds on Aurora Glade? Applied to Southern Legion, but their last activity was 4 months ago, so i think it was a bit of a bummer.
