Do we have something like Jott or Spinvox ?

I came accross Jott.com in the States. Basically you phone a number and leave a message which gets converted to text then sms sent or e-mail sent to wherever. Its free in beta and seems very useful. Imagine sending a message or reminder via email in traffic by calling a no. In England they have Spinvox (pay). Does anybody know if we have something similar in sa?

Yes Vodacom. R99 per month, they use the Spinvox system and market the service under their own brand name (Voicemail2SMS I think they call it)

Thanks Puttybag - just looked into it. It seems with the vodacom service you only get sms's from people leaving you a voice message - you can't send sms or emails by phoning a number. Maybe that will come later.

Hi again . I have now been using this service a few months and I like it , it works well. I also see it now costs R49 ! I just wish I could ph my own number and leave a message for myself which gets converted into text .
