Based on what is relevant to the end user?
I ask because I was unable to see my one friends status, whereas our other mutual friend was able to. We all found this very interesting so poked around in his whatsapp status settings and nothing had ever been changed from the default settings.
I was able to see most of his statuses, just not this one particular one.
I was under the impression that whatsapp statuses are shared with all your contacts, unless you specify otherwise? Assuming you both have each other saved.
The only conclusion we could come to is that whatsapp doesn't share certain statuses because they might not be relevant to the person receiving them, i.e an Atheist seeing statuses about Church meetings or some such.
Is this possible? It's really something I'd never experienced before and I'm trying to wrap my head around it,.
