Eish, thats how you end up with penalties.I absolutely refuse to pay someone to work out how much I must give to the cadres. I feel that it is the tax man's duty to ensure that tax laws can be easily understood by the average man on the street and if he does not, it is his problem. I therefore do my own taxes in the way that I understand the tax laws.
Doing other people's SARS Tax returns has that effect on people. We used a tax consultant who previously worked for SARS, excellent results but she since died so making new plans.
It will need to be made apart of accounting in schools, which is already pretty challenging because there is a wide range of basics to cover. I feel like a too much dumbed down version of taxation will probably not benefit anyone. But overall I don't know if it could work at school level. When will this become a skill that is taught at school??
Are you on the left or the rightDo you do your own tax returns, or do you get someone to do it for you?
