HI,

I was just wondering if any one here truly enjoys their job? As in you make up in the morning and you are actually wanting to go to work to see what the day has in store for you.

If you do enjoy your job, why? What makes you enjoy it and wanting to wake up every morning and go to your work place?

Previous employer, yes! Reason: The people, we worked as team with a shared sense of responsibility, lots of laughs, lots of fights but at the end of the day we were still friends.

Current (5 days left to also being previous) employer, no! Reason: Big German corporate organisation, zero accountability, everybody is out to cover for themselves (no email is sent without at least 5 cc's), very little laughter and even less management interaction.

Loved work at previous employer, but they took massive advantage of me until i got fed up. Pay was crap too..
Now pay is ok, work sucks. Will be outta here in t minus 3 weeks!!!

New place i know the people (who rock), love the work, and pay is good. So yeah, i would say in 3 weeks I will love my job.

Side note: I think very few people wake up and want to go to work, i find when i am happy, it doesnt bother me. I get there in a good mood, do my work and go home.
Its when you wake up in a bad mood because you have to go to work that you have a problem.

Glad to hear that you will moving to an awesome new job.

Well essentially i guess that was what i was asking. Weather you wake and you unhappy because you have to work or weather you wake up happy to go to work and come home (most of the time) happy as well.

Yeah I do, pity about the pay though :-D

I do not enjoy my job, but I'm a kind of appy at the moment until August, so I know it will get better after that!
I like most of the people I work with though, just not all of the bosses.

Would you rather do a job you don't like for more money or a job you like for less money?

Used to, about a year & a half ago, now it's just meh. Company's changed (Some new HR policies seem downright hostile, nonsensical & patronising), most of the people I got on really well with have left, new guys in. Nothing wrong with them, just don't know them well yet.

Has it's moments though.

Yeah, I enjoy my job. The volumes and "frenetic" conditions are another thing.

I enjoy my job because I do what I love. To be honest the only job I never liked was when I was promoted to junior management which involved me moving away from technical, lasted a year before I moved away back to technical...

I don't wake up in the morning eager to get to work but I do enjoy my job...
The people are great, pay is good and its very easy going.

I actually enjoy waking up and heading off to work. The number of times I dread it are usually related to some critical failure which is blown out of proportion till I save the day

I love my job. I am self-employed so I being your own boss has always been my dream ever since I was 5. The only problem is learning self-discipline as their really isn't anyone to push you if you lack some motivation. I am mastering this now...

i enjoy my job. days are never the same, something new everyday. I'm a software developer
