I has a wellpoint at home and I want to connect it to the toilets in order to cut down of water consumption. Only issue is the cost of electricity will erode any savings in this regard. I can gravity feed but I don't want raised tanks in my yard.

Any other ideas?

Also it is swimming season now which would require constant top ups with municipal water. Perhaps if I connect the toilets to the wellpoint these 2 will balance each other out.

I assume the below wont deal with iron in the water.

I considered the same, but I think the cost of all that will be more than the saving.

As for iron, pump the water into a tank with a sprayer, all the iron and sediment will stain the back of the tank where the water hits and the water will be clear.

Irrigation sprayer?

After more than half a decade, I can eventually tick "Yes". Just installed my backup supply into the house and doing a full run today.

Bought a small 250L tank and pump during Cape Town drought but was not sure how to connect it all to the house. I also have rain water harvesting tanks that where connected to my toilets and washing machine, so was never an urgency to get the small backup installed.

Recently had a plumber repair the line into the house and asked him to do the repair in a way that I can plumb in my backup supply.

I finished the rest of the plumbing and now working perfecto. We have been experiencing at least one water outage a month in m neighbourhood this year.

Need to get a pressure tank as we also have seen a drop in water pressure from municipal supply at night.
