Do you love chilli :)

Whoa people!! This thread has gone tangent...
The distinction between chilli; pepper and peri-peri must be made!!!

peri-peri is made from chillies, birdseye chilli peppers I think.

Tabasco is made from tabasco chilli peppers.

So no tangent. :)

this is what I used to eat, when I was staying in South Korea.

http://www.imagehost.co.za/image-FA9B_4A309D28.jpg

in the picture, the green ones are chilli, and the red one is the chilli paste (made out of red chilli, very hot)

Korean people eat the green chilli (raw) by putting on that chilli paste.

i heard there are lots of Vitamin in chilli.

So keep chilling. :)

Yea, I'm also a white Indian. I tend to eat hotter chillies than Indians themselves.

Mmmm......need to get a fix soon.

I started growing some :D

Hopefully they survive winter :( (will move onto veranda 2 avoid frost? will that help?)
The Capsicum Family from which chillies derive do not like cold weather. In the Mediterranean climate of the Western Cape they have been known to survive for many years and overwinter in some cases, but they will surely perish in any area that gets frost, so it depends what part of South Africa you live in.

Make sure the veranda is north facing to catch the sun.

Thanx working now.

Dam that actually looks tasty. Nice snack for in between the rugby, biltong & droëwors. Just to give you a wake up call and sober you up a bit.

For those looking for a real kick, try Banditos Habanero... some really mean stuff, and has a lot of flavor. My mates mom also makes her own chilli sause type thing from the home-grown stuff. Very nice :) Apparently, she is going to be selling it soon. Will post details once something materializes.

Love chilli and curry as well. Can handle it pretty hot too but prefer it to accompany the food and not overpower it.

Pity I have always had some family members who think ginger is too hot :(

The most simple meal I really enjoyed with chilli was a Honda Special they called it. All it was is pasta (spaghetti cooked slightly al dente - the best quality pasta homemade  :D I freak over quality pasta I love it so much) with lots of olive oil, garlic and chilli and also some fine parmesan cheese if you like :)

Such a simple meal never tasted so good to me :)

Chilli MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm CURRY CURRY CURRY I could eat curry ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My indian friend makes a mean mean mean curry *drools*

I have tried and tried and tried and tried but always fail to make curry like Indian people......

Have you got any recipes??? .....anyone...?

I need to add a disclaimer to this:

Do not try to double the pleasure by rubbing chilli on your nether-regions while bumping uglies. Not advisable. And do not put on a condom for at least 3 hours after chopping chillis, or at least washing your hands with industrial grade-paint remover - apparently women are sensitive to that kinda stuff...:o

yes they are... one day i ate something very spicy and i touched my GF and she was very itchy:D it was just funny... chilli is not good for the Virgina

What do you think they mean when they tell you, you need to spice up your sex life?
