Do you own a tux?

Have a tux, too small now... rather rent imho, or have one made. More and more events have turned to semi-casual or smart casual and it has been some time that I have been invited to an ‘special’ occasion where a tux would had been the dress code.

Blazers, love blazers. Used to mix my blazers casually, but it is my work wear. Note that your shoes accompany your blazer.

Yup. Use it about once a year (company end of year party).

I have one. I use it about 4 times a year - Halloween is TUX + Horse Head

I do have a few blazers I'll wear those entering a meeting.

A tailored tux is one of those items you need when you need it, best to have one handy.

I would never go to any event that required one. I don't have a single suit or tie in my wardrobe, haven't had for years.

I don't have a suit or tux. My body shape changes yearly so it will be a waste. I'll probably only get 1 occasion per year to wear one, maybe even less.

Back in the day when I was still in school I had dinner jackets, morning suit, tails… no idea what happened to it all.

No

Was going to buy one last month as we had a formal staff function. Price was a bit extreme considering the last time I wore a tux was in 1992 (did not even wear a suit to either of my weddings). Ended up renting for R400 from a place that tailor fitted it for me.

Neither a tux nor a blazer.

I do have 10 bespoke suits though if that counts?

Only because I have to suit up every day for work.

have 2 - very seldom used - perhaps twice a year max, when a decent suit could have done equally well for the occasion.
i fear trying to get into either now would be like trying to get toothpaste back into the tube.

have plenty of suits - wear them fairly often (work stuff)

lots of blazers - good for winter in cape town for work.
decent shoes jeans & shirt with a blazer works well

Tux? That's 'Murican.

Here in the civilised world we wear a Dinner Jacket on occasion. Mine has not evolved with my girth, but I keep it for when I'm thin again.
