From the firmware:

SUPER CAPACITOR INIT
SUPER CAPACITOR TEST
CAPACITOR CHARGE

I guess opening one up will be the only sure fire way to tell. Lots of manufacturers are preferring supercaps against batteries these days, due to the pricing.

also recently had the cold no starting modem , when cold wont start up for couple of minutes, now 24/7 on no problem...

and how scary is this... since getting mywireless in feb only had one disconnect.. and thats honest truth. im base 82 honeydew/radiokop which if i remember proasm says thats where the sentech servers are.... maybe thats why???

thats probably why the "battery" lasts such a short time (combined with the power output) and why the "trickle charge" is a lie.

They should add "barely" in front of "portable" and swop "always" for "mostly" ie. "barely portable and a mostly on connection"
