Definitely depends on the zoo, and a lot of zoos have captive breeding programs that have saved species from extinction.

I've said yes because I believe most should close, but exceptions do exist. As mentioned, some really do have amazing facilities and have done a lot of good for certain species.

A game reserve is the answer for assisted breeding and education of kids, zoos aren't natural enough.
