Do you think beach closures, either in whole (such as the Garden route and EC) or in part (such as KZN) are a sensible move by the government or will the economic impact overshadow the possible gains?

I think for now it will be quiet, but as we come up on Christmas Day and New Year's I can see the landscape changing.The beaches around me were empty yesterday apart from a few fishermen.

Oddly enough they were all actually fishing. Give it a few days for everyone to get their permits and I'm sure that will change."fishermen"
Why would you want to swim in the ocean when you can do it in pool ?We have shopping centres open, With people packed in and standing in queues
But we cant swim in the ocean near others.... I dont know. It doesnt make sense to me
Close them on 25th,26th and 1st only, thats when the hoards descend.
Would love to know where the ‘yes’ voters live, normally go on holiday and how they earn their income...
