AND MALWARE ANTIVIRUS

Windows all the way. Every time I've used antivirus programs, they have slowed my PC down and always cause some sort of system failure. Never had a problem with defender and it's so easy on the system resources I don't even know its running a scan in the background.

Then you weren't using good AV software. Avira, ESET and Kaspersky are pretty much invisible, and offer far superior protection.

If Defender was a paid product it would be the worst on the market.

Avast Free AntiVirus. Works well for me on Windows 10 Pro.

Kaspersky now offers a free version. You're far better off with that. Avast is pretty crap.

I do use third party anti-virus in my p.c because they are efficient in operation than the built in one's. The built in one's are always inefficient and it's update is lacking more features to protect the p.c and always get my p.c get stuck with viruses. So I started using third party anti-virus like avg anti-virus and it's awesome in operation and always get great updates from them, and now am virus free.

Avira. It's a shame it's now bloated with unnecessary features and large download sizes. I used to love it's simplicity many years ago

Bloated with what exactly? Don't add the unnecessary extras when installing it. Antivirus Pro is the only product of theirs I have installed.

I dont have protective software. But use Malwarebytes to scan through my pc now and then to make sure its clear of any malware.
