I've had enough of centralized exchanges, such as Binance, Bittrex, Bitfinex etc. They almost always have deposit and withdrawal issues, they sometimes have to be down for a period of time for maintenance. I don't like the idea that centralized exchanges are at the mercy of governments. Governments can simply shut them down, like what China did.
I'm now using Etherdelta more and more, and only using centralized exchanges when the volume on ED for a particular coin/token are very low. I like the idea of decentralized exchanges being immune to governments. For example, the USA and China won't shut down ED.
What I like about ED is you can get coins early before they explode, like MOD, CFD, DOVU, etc. ED is terrible for trading for newbies, but is easy by working around it once you get used to it. It's difficult and challenging to use at first, but once you know how to use it, it's great. I like that you don't need to worry about passwords, 2 factor authentication, email address, KYC, etc. All you need are your address and private key. I've stored all my cryptos on Etherdelta, I have 2 accounts now, thinking of having 3 to further spread risk.
What do you guys think? I'm fairly new to crypto, so my conclusions might be off.
