I'm using it right now (friend dragged me to Nando's - not really a fan)
 
Never run out of data, hence no need to use. Will use at airports, official access points though.
 
Bro, don’t get me started. I’ve posted a whole thread on this a year ago. Just recently joined a Wimpy WiFi with 1Mbps … and then a Seattle with 10Mbps. Nothing says cheap like “we’re gonna give you this free thing as slowly as possible while pretending its 1996 and all you want is to log into your Yahoo mail and chat via MSN Messenger”.

To date the best free Wi-Fi you can find is still in Hyprop-managed malls, like Woodlands in Pretoria and Clearwater in Roodepoort: 100-200Mbps uncapped takes some doing, but they get it right.
 
Nope, that's why I have 50GB of MTN data a month (black friday special), and an eSim for when I'm abroad.

The only place I tend to use it - if I must - is in Dubai airport because I don't get roaming or a sim for the 1 - 2 hours I'm there.
 
Honestly, what keeps me from setting up a Wi-Fi Pineapple MITM-like device to sniff other's traffic,steal cookies and some other personal data, with the possibility of exploiting a device with a vulnerability with a simple redirection attack, or even trying to hack it?

There's many YT videos out there that shows you the negative impact of connecting to "free Wi-Fi"...
 
No. MTN gives me 100gb a month for free. And I have a Rain uncapped sim in another phone to hotspot if needed.
 
Always out of curiosity to see their speed and what they block.
