I have it installed but almost no one uses it so about 99% of the time I use WhatsApp.

Slack is annoyingWell there is that too, but between it, slack, whatsapp or telegram I still prefer it. Unless everyone goes back to irc![]()
You are going to love the ads they are going to push to statuses. You will get messages saying that you have notifications - but none exist. They will be ads. Going to be so much fun![]()
The what? Lol, only 1% of my contacts use the status function. Also a status update doesn't give a notification.
It doesn't matter - watch the myBB interview. They are going to use the Statuses section to push adverts to your phones. Doesn't matter if people use them or not.
They can push it to the status screen. If you don't use the status it doesn't matter.
It still notifies you - just you wait and see.
what is telegram? Never heard of him.
OkYou are talking nonsense. It is not gonna send you a notification. Also it will be done via the Business API.
Everyone knows whatsapp is the best. 1% live in denial.

Slack is an entirely different type of platform though. Although even then, I rate Twist as vastly superior to Slack. It's cheaper, has a 3-pane layout instead of a 2-pane one (which makes for significantly better organisation), has a nicely separated chat section, also higher quality mobile apps, unlimited cloud storage etc.

The Status ads will begin appearing from next year.
Status allows users to post montages of text, photos and video that appear for 24 hours—similar to an Instagram tool called Stories. About 450 million people use WhatsApp Status, compared with about 400 million who use Instagram Stories, which already shows ads.
When it dropped its subscription fee in 2016, the company posted a blog post making clear that ads would never "interrupt your communication", further adding to the issues about how advertising could be shown within the app.
But the status feature appears to have solved that problem, allowing WhatsApp to slide marketing posts in between updates from friends, like it does with Instagram stories.
As well as serving as something like a feed, WhatsApp's status feature has quickly become a huge part of the app. It now has a huge number of users, and is more popular than many major apps like Snapchat.
Telegram has over 200 million users.
That many?
So how many does WhatsApp have?
Have you had someone update their status? I have. You get a message saying that you may have new whatsapp messages. You go and check and there are none. So you ignore it and dismiss the message. Soon you get the message again - you check - still nothing. Eventually you notice a dot next to statuses - there is a status update and it has notified you.I think you’re making things up (or more like you’re being gullible and believing the crap someone else has sucked out of their thumb).
There is no mention of notifications and it’s going to be in the Status tab .

You tell me they are going to switch this off to hide their advertising?
