Used to use it all the time when I lived on the bus route to Rosebank station. Never use it now since ubering to Gautrain costs the same as ubering to airport.

Used it daily for a while, was great.
Then changed to on occasion - like for sports events or just a day trip out.
Now only airport runs, so few and far between.
Bu yes is the answer.

Problem is when you don't live or work near the stations, the bus drive their takes very long as the busses sits in traffic too and even take longer routes as they are picking up people. SO you can just as well use your car and get to work quicker.

used it a couple of times from Malboro to sandton and PTA when I didnt feel like sitting in the crazy traffic jams,
and just in the Jam at Malboro station.

We literally only use it as an outing for the kids, from Midrand to Sandton City on the weekends once or twice a year, because they love trains.

As a way of commuting, makes zero sense, for various reasons:

1) Not enough stations close to work/home
2) Bus Routes are also congested
3) Not applicable to people doing school runs

No, though it's been used by some close to me for the airport route. Sounds safe but is it in the longer term?

Anyway have a car.

Needs more stations.

This looks so good if they get through all the phases (unlikely)

I use it to get to and from OR Tambo but that's it. And to be honest I only fly max 3 times a year.

I use the Gautrain when I need to get to ORT for business flights.
