I took out a 24 month contract for doBasic, 1mbps @ 10 GB cap. This contract has now expired. I pay around R399 in total every month. Would I benefit from dropping the 10 GB account that comes with this? As I'm not using Telkom as an ISP anymore

You should have been upgraded to 2Mb/s at no charge. You can drop the isp bandwidth.

Yea I'm at 2mb/s now. The money I'll save will go into my "oh g*d the internet is slow, let me drink" fund
